mezolitas statusas T sritis ekologija ir aplinkotyra apibrėžtis Vidurinis akmens amžius (pereinamasis amžius tarp paleolito ir neolito) – poledyninis laikotarpis, kuriuo žmonės prisitaikė prie naujų (miško) sąlygų, apsigyveno pačiose šiauriausiose srityse. Gyveno mažomis gimininėmis bendruomenėmis prie vandens telkinių, vertėsi medžiokle, žvejyba, gamtos gėrybių rinkimu.
